Large Groups: 50+ passengers
Group Fares and Benefits: Delta Airlines
All groups receive special contracted net fares based on travel dates, group size, destinations and minimum stay. Discounts from 10-50% off regular fares are common.
Free tickets are issued based on paying travelers. The ratio ranges from 1 free per 15-50 passengers. Higher discounts are offered on larger group sizes in exchange for date, routing and accommodation flexibility.
Additional group benefits can include excess baggage vouchers, onboard cake or celebration, airport assistance, lounge access, upgraded meals or accommodation vouchers.
Securing the Booking
Once a proposed contract offer is accepted in writing, a 10% non-refundable deposit (or minimum $500 USD) must be paid within 3 days to hold the group allocation. The contract outlines deposit requirements and payment schedules for the balance. Final passenger lists are due 30 days before departure.
Delta issues group tickets once full payment is received, no later than 21 days before travel. Individual passenger tickets cannot be issued until full group payment is made. Revision fees apply if changes are made after ticketing.
Delta may designate specific flights as group bookings to manage high demand flights. Group fares and discounts only apply on these designated flight numbers coded for group allocation.
