MN legislature passes bill to renew Nonprofit Infrastructure Grant Program

Our Executive Director Irma Márquez Trapero got the chance to speak to KARE 11 about how the MN legislature passed a bill that will renew the Nonprofit Infrastructure Grant Program. As of today, only 1.5% of grant dollars go to serving the Latinx community even though Latinx make up the second largest minority in the state. The Nonprofit Infrastructure Grant Program of $4 million will help BIPOC nonprofits with budgets of less than $1 million over the next 2 years. LatinoLEAD is one of the recipients of a portion of this funding and we are eager to continue be able to grow innovative and sustainable programs for our Latinx community here in Minnesota.
