The patient presented with abdominal distress at the King Saud Hospital in Unaizah, Qassim, Saudi Arabia. Due to his pallid and hazy appearance, he was admitted immediately. The physician in attendance prescribed a battery of laboratory procedures. Additionally, ultrasound imaging of the abdomen was conducted. High concentrations of alanine
aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) in the test results indicated hepatic damage. Additional serum parameters, including albumin, total proteins, and iron, as well as kidney and cardiac enzyme levels, were all determined to be within the expected range. Normal concentrations of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets were detected by a complete blood count.
